Pai Gow Poker

Seven cards, split into two hands. Set a 5-card hand and a 2-card hand from your own cards, beat the banker's matching pair of hands with both, and you win — split the two and nothing happens either way. The real skill isn't the cards you're dealt, it's how you divide them.

52 cards + 1 joker 7 cards → a 5-card and a 2-card hand Win both hands to win the bet Ties go to the banker

How a hand plays out

Bet, then you and the banker each get seven cards. You arrange yours into a 5-card hand and a 2-card hand — the 5-card hand must always rank higher than the 2-card hand, or the whole thing fouls and loses automatically. The banker's seven cards get split the same way, by a fixed, published house way rather than a choice. Your 5-card hand is compared to the banker's 5-card hand, and your 2-card hand to the banker's 2-card hand, separately. Win both comparisons and you win the bet, lose both and you lose it, and win one while losing or tying the other and nothing happens — your bet comes back. Any exact tie on either hand goes to the banker.
